A colourless case… of melanoma

Objective: Report a clinical case of a patient that came to emergency and was diagnosed amelanotic melanoma of ciliary body on the left eye.
Clinical case: Fifty six year old male acute with headache and little pain at the left eye. In fundus evidenced tumoral lesion compatible with melanoma, which turned out to have extensive systemic compromise and ended up leading to multi-organ failure and subsequent death.
Conclusion: This case highlights the importance of dilating every patient who attends to do an ophthalmological control in order to be able to diagnose any pathology in the fundus that is asymptomatic and could have systemic compromise.
