Abstract

The occurrence of hyphema during the performance of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) is a complication that can occur, as seen in this goniophotograph. Due to inadequate visualization of the trabecular meshwork, it was decided to continue with the procedure at a second time point. After complete and spontaneous resolution of the hyphema, SLT treatment was completed with a satisfactory result.

The occurrence frequency of this complication seems to be very low, since in the literature there is only one work that described something similar, which resolved without sequelae1. There is another case reported, but it occurred 3 days after SLT2.
